We're All So Glad When Mommy Comes Home!!

Ok, I admit, my siblings and I are a little pathetic. You'd think because we're in our late 20's, early 30's and mid 40's that we'd be able to handle mom being gone but apparently not. Since mom did not do Sunday dinner on Jan 21st cause she had been sick and then she left Monday for a week we hadn't seen her for a while. She came home yesterday after being in Lethbridge for a week looking after a friend who had surgery. So I had gotten off of work early yesterday and went to mom's house to wait for her until she got home (friends were picking her up). Diana called around 330 to find out when she'd be home since her and Spencer were in the city. They showed up about 2 minutes before mom did. Then the phone rings and it's Dave who "happens" to be in Landsdowne and was calling to see if mom was home to come over. Ya, he had no reason for being there other than he missed mom too from what I could tell.

Then Karen called asking if someone could babysit her kids while she went shopping for a truck with her husband so Karen and Alex show up with the kids so mom could watch them. Mom's deal was she'd watch the kids as long as they brought her food, and so they did. Veronica and Cache were so excited to see mom too. Veronica was mad at Grandma and told her that she had lied to her. Grandma said she'd be gone for 7 days and Veronica thought she'd be home on Saturday but she wasn't home till Monday. It was so funny watching her try and chew mom out on that one. Mom tried to tell her how it was only 7 days and that she was right. Try arguing with a 5 year old who talks and remembers things like she's in her 20's or 30's. Then Shelley even called to talk to mom as we were all leaving. She's not the kind to come over as often as the rest of us but she still called.

So, the moral of the story is, we are a bunch of pathetic wussies who love and miss our mommy terribly. Even the older ones and the boy too. Kinda funny, but nice to know that we're still that close. It's just going to be interesting when mom goes away in April and September too. This woman's on a travelling kick this year!!!! I hope we all survive LOL!! ;-)
