Well today was another good day. It started with finally feeling like I'm getting something done at work. I had finally, after 4 months of fighting, got everything I needed to work on this one company. Their corporate year end needs to be filed by the end of October and getting information from her is worse than pulling teeth, and every time I asked her for something that was missing she would say "well it should be in the box, isn't it in the box?". Well if it was in the freaking box in the first place I wouldn't be calling you duh!!!!! Honestly. So, I got that company to near completion yesterday where I'm waiting for some final details from her to finish, which makes me feel a lot better. I've been working on just that company alone for 2 straight weeks, which, when I already have a backlog of companies there has put me even further behind. Today, I was able to finish another 3 companies completely which is totally awesome. I'm now down to a list of 11 and most of which are fairly easy. I can now be a bit less stressed at work
During the afternoon we had some fun deliveries at work. My boss David had his GPS arrive. I love it when new toys arrive at work. You should have seen me when we got our new printer. I was like a giddy little school girl. We had fun with that for a bit and I left to go finish my work while David pretty much didn't do much work all afternoon and just played. About 2 minutes after the GPS arrived another package came. David had ordered the movie "Miracle on 34th Street" (the original) and it came in Christmas cards. Pretty cool. Last year it was the original Christmas Carol in a cute holiday DVD case. I love days when fun things show up.
After work was even better. I made plans with my 3 best friends for dinner. I picked Emily up after work and we eventually met Tyler and Jenn at Moxie's. We were celebrating my fantastic day yesterday and it was easier to fill them all in at once than one at a time. Oh man, was it ever worth it!!!! Tyler was subjected to the sisterhood of the travelling panda and survived. We were giggling so bad but Tyler was half the cause. He was throwing out the zingers all night. We totally got a kick out of it. At one point we felt bad for subjecting him to all of it but he just said something about how he was watching and learning. There was one point where he got all of us laughing so hard and I had water in my mouth. Emily was afraid it was going to come straight across the table to her and it almost did. It took everything in me to keep it in my mouth and not lose it all over. It even started coming up my nose. Oh man, I love my friends. You see whey they're my best friends. They are so there for me when I need them, night or day. I have laughed and cried and sometimes both at the same time, if they get me laughing hard enough, with all of them. That's what friends are to me.
So Emily and I stopped to pick up a bus pass for her at the Mac's by her house on the way home. As we were walking back to the car these two creepy looking guys drove by and the driver looked at Emily and said "Hey Baby". Emily and I just ignored them and burst in to laughter when we got in the car. It was completely hilarious, but it got me remembering something from a few weeks ago. At the beginning of September there was an activity at the West Ed Water Park and Emily Jenn and I were sitting relaxing when Dylan and a friend of his started to walk by. So we proceeded to hoot and howl and cat call them. Well, the two of them just started posing and flexing and all kinds of stuff as they walked by and we continued to whistle. Well, about five minutes or so later we were still sitting there when they walked by again only this time they didn't wait for us to whistle, they started to pose right away so of course we howled and stuff again. Well, Dylan then proceeded to do the bend and sizzle. We totally nearly lost it laughing when he did that. Oh man, I have the funniest friends ever. I loved that night.

BEST FREAKING MONDAY EVER!!!!!!!!
So today is Monday and it has been the most wonderful Monday I have ever had. So I've been trying to figure out what to do about my job. I love my job and I am so spoiled rotten it's not even funny. If I even began to tell you what I got away with and how much they spoiled me everyone would hate me. In a couple of weeks I will have been there for five years, and I knew that soon my boss was thinking of retiring and selling his practice, but had no idea what his plans were. Well, do to some sneakiness on my part and a friends part, who wants to hire me anyway, I was able to find out what was going on. I still don't know what his exact plans are but I know he's got one option that is sounding pretty good to him right now and I think it's a very tempting offer.
The offer includes a huge fantastic change for me too. I would be going to this other office where I'd get a chance to do more and learn more and grow in my field of work which excites me. It starts to get a little mundane doing the same thing over and over and I'm looking forward to a new challenge which I know this would give me. The funniest part was when my boss and his wife finally decided to tell me what was going on during lunch. They had no idea that I had been part of the set up and that I knew way more than they thought I did. I had to really contain myself from laughing my head off.
By the end of the day I was about ready to explode I was so happy. I went to my mom's house right after work to tell her everything of what happened. It's just such a story and has me so incredibly giddy. I have never had a monday like this and I'm so excited that I did have a good Monday, especially considering this is my first 5 day work week since May. Anyway, keep your fingers crossed that all goes well and before too long my boss will have made a decision and that I'll know more of exactly what's going on. This is just the one of the many steps that I've wanted to take to get things moving in my life. Now to get my house organized properly, right Jenn!!

Sisterhood of the Travelling Panda
So this is quite a funny way to start my blog. I have to say, I had one funny night. My day started with my niece just having fun. She spent a couple of nights at my house just chillin'. She moved here just over 3 months ago from Utah and we haven't really spent much time together so it was a lot of fun. We totally vegged and had an absolutely lazy day laughing, talking, watching heroes and going to the store in our pj's!!!
I spent the early evening going to the Relief Society broadcast and as hard as it is for me to sit there I enjoyed most of it. Afterwards Emily, Jenn and I went to West Ed. We had a great plan of going bowling but somehow that got changes. We started out by going shopping at Bath and Body Works (so glad they FINALLY came to Edmonton) and then Emily started talking about stuffing a bear so we ended up at Build a Bear. Well that was just a hoot and a half!! Emily decided to get one and the lady there let all 3 of us put a heart in him and she told us to make a wish before we stuck the heart in and Jenn promptly said, "ok, I know we're all wishing the same thing". Well I nearly lost it and just started to laugh my head off because it was totally true.
It was around then that we decided to go for dessert and skip the bowling idea. On our way to Cheescake cafe Emily mentioned to me that she would have us "babysit" Lucky Min (the panda she got) when she went out of town. While at the restaurant Emily mentioned the babysitting thing and then we got talking about sharing him to share the luck between us. So then Jenn pipes up and starts labelling it 'Sisterhood of the Travelling Panda'. I swear, I thought I was going to die laughing then and there. It's always like this when the 3 of us get together. Lots of giggles and snorts all over the place with an occasional hyena thrown in for good measure. I love those two. Definately makes life more fun.
So on a side note, as I was coming out of Bath and Body works I was on the phone with a friend who asked if I was going to church tomorrow (well I guess it's today now) and I said ya, I'm a goodie two-shoes. He then told me I was a goodie two-shoes with and edge and proceeded to call me an edgy goodie two-shoes. I loved it and thought it was funny and told the girls when I met up with them. Well they happened to be talking about something similar and they had just come up with Fabulous Dork with a capital D for Jenn and then we decided on Homey Em. for Emily. See, we truly truly are strange. I guess I should head to bed now though since I do have church at 8:30 in the morning. Oh the torture of it all!!!!
